United Way Bruce Grey works with households, municipalities, community agencies and energy-sector partners to understand where financial pressures are showing up in our Utility Program and how existing supports are working to address energy poverty.
This brief brings together Ontario Energy Board’s open data, local distributor data and United Way service data to create a shared picture of energy affordability. The intention is not to assess or rank individual utilities as it relates to energy poverty. It is to use available data collaboratively to better understand the pressures facing households and to support informed discussion about affordability and income adequacy.
