The Cost of Eating Well & The Urgent Issue of Food Insecurity

Food insecurity has severe negative impacts on physical and mental health as well as social well-being and costs our healthcare system considerably. This report is an update to the 2024 Monitoring Food Affordability Report and examines the cost of eating well and the urgent issue of food insecurity. The report updates the Ontario Nutritious Food Basket scenarios, including Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) Rental Market data.
